$67,000 Awarded for Energy, Resiliency Planning

The Initiative Foundation has awarded $67,100 through its Energy & Community Resiliency Planning Grant program to help six organizations prepare for the future through energy efficiency, clean energy and disaster resilience planning.

The grants support planning efforts that identify opportunities to reduce energy costs, strengthen critical facilities and prepare for severe weather. These grants help communities build the foundation for future energy improvements and long-term resilience.

“Resilient communities don’t happen by accident—they start with good planning,” said Elizabeth Mboutchom, clean energy and community resiliency program officer at the Initiative Foundation. “These grants help organizations identify practical ways to reduce energy costs, strengthen critical facilities and better prepare for changing conditions so they can continue serving their communities for years to come.”
