Foundation Donates to 50 Nonprofits for Giving Holiday
Today, on Give to the Max Day, the Initiative Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded $5,000 in donations to 50 nonprofits across Central Minnesota. Each organization received a $100 gift.
As part of its commitment to strengthen the region’s nonprofits, the Initiative Foundation gathered all 310 Central Minnesota organizations registered for Give to the Max Day and conducted a random drawing. Fifty nonprofits were selected to receive a gift in recognition of their work.
“We know that every nonprofit plays a vital role in strengthening our communities—from food access and youth opportunity to arts and environmental stewardship,” said Nicole Clements, Initiative Foundation nonprofit development program officer. “This gift is a small gesture of our appreciation, and we hope it helps build momentum for donors across the region to step up today and every day.”
On Give to the Max Day, nonprofits that receive donations are eligible for prize grants through GiveMN’s special prize pool of more than $100,000.
By uplifting 50 regional nonprofits, the Initiative Foundation aims to highlight a broader need. With thousands participating statewide, Give to the Max Day reveals both the sector’s strength and its vulnerability—many nonprofits, especially in rural and underserved communities, rely on donor support to sustain their work.
