Rural Business Success Series: Buying a Business Basics

In partnership with the North Central Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Buying a Business Basics workshop will provide a comprehensive introduction to the essential steps, considerations, and strategies involved in buying a business. Designed for first-time buyers, it covers everything from evaluating potential business opportunities to understanding financing options, due diligence, and negotiating terms. Participants will learn how to assess a business’s financial health, understand key legal requirements, and recognize red flags. Through interactive exercises and expert insights, attendees will gain the confidence and knowledge to make informed decisions on their journey toward business ownership.

This workshop will be held at M State Wadena Campus, Room M32. Park on the West side of the building (across from the high school) and enter through door W2 (the room will be to your right).
