The Grounded Flow: Fundraising From Your Center

Grounded Flow This training has ended. Visit our website to view upcoming training opportunities.

This training on Sept. 29 has been cancelled. The Fundraising Summit is still on!

This training is geared toward experienced nonprofit leaders and fundraisers. This workshop falls before the Fundraising Summit.

This interactive workshop, led by Fundraising Trainer Janet Cobb, presents a values-aligned approach to building authentic donor relationships while staying centered and connected to your organization’s purpose. Through guided exercises and expert insight, you’ll strengthen your strategic foundation for more meaningful, sustainable advancement.

You will learn how to:

  • Practice relational detachment — grounded in attachment theory, this approach helps you maintain healthy emotional boundaries with donors to preserve clarity and purpose.
  • Build a values-based, sustainable fundraising strategy — develop approaches that reflect your organizational ethos and ensure long-term financial resilience.
  • Set aligned, actionable goals — establish objectives that foster progress while helping to prevent burnout.

The Initiative Foundation’s Nonprofit Academy trainings are part of the organization’s mission to serve the people of Central Minnesota. If your organization is located outside our 14-county and two Native nation service area, please contact Nicole Clements regarding participation options.
